I have a laptop running with Windows Vista as operating system. I currently have AVG as my antivirus. I just downloaded it from the internet. At first, it went well. It kept my laptop working for a couple of months. Of course, almost every day or once a week, the system required me to update my antivirus definitions of viruses. I thought everything was okay then until one time some of applications didn’t functions as usual. Some of my applications won’t open. Some files cannot be accessed. I don’t know what to do. Almost every day I scan my computer it says that no virus was found. I asked my friend about this and he told me that my computer was infected by a virus. What the f*ck? I thought there was no virus found? This was the message that I’ve always received after every scan. My friend told me that maybe the virus has not been detected by my antivirus program. I never thought that this will happen. I actually trusted my security program.
My pal told me to install or try another antivirus program. As usual, I just downloaded a trial version from the internet. I was about to install the antivirus program, a message prompted me to uninstall my current antivirus program. I uninstalled my current security program then installed my new antivirus program following the steps on the screen. After the installation, I restart my computer. When it was on, I started to scan my computer. Whoala!!! I have 25 viruses and cookies found. What the heck? That explains everything.
I don’t understand it. Why does my first antivirus said that there were no viruses in my computer? The new antivirus said there was? I can’t believe it. My friend told me that maybe the antivirus program didn’t know the viruses so it slipped them in its security scan.
I don’t know but now I want to be more secured. I want to install two antivirus programs. But every time I try to install one after the other, the system is prompting me to uninstall the current antivirus program. Is it possible to install 2 or more antivirus in one system?
